Trauma informed. Body based. Heart centered.
you are here. Welcome.
I am so happy you have found us and would be honored to offer any support that I can. Reaching out can be insanely difficult and vulnerable at times, I get it. If you are in Boulder, come in, have some tea, see if the connection feels right for you. I'm here to offer my heart, love, guidance, resources and a safe cozy space for sharing and moving through what may be stuck or needing extra attention. I am here to wade through the gunk with you and also to help you see through and beyond it. At times that means I might direct and re-direct you away from the story, away from the chatter and the thoughts and into your body, connecting with your nervous system, with your sensations, with your authentic self. For this is where the story really lives and where the most healing can occur. Here is where I hope to stand beside you and support you in REMEMBERING and reclaiming the lost or fragmented or discombobulated parts keeping you from feeling and loving your whole beautiful self. You are absolutely not alone...so many of us (dare I say all?) need guidance along the way to help us get more in touch with what is true.
I fiercely love- that is my job and what I most enjoy about what I do. This doesn't mean the work isn't going to be complex and uncomfortable at times, oh, it is! However, the more we are able to love ourselves, to connect to our truth and full range of emotion and expression, the more we can connect to the beauty in one another and the world around us.
This can look so many ways in the counseling room. By training I am a trauma-informed somatic therapist. My work is rooted in the belief that there is innate capacity and wisdom existing within the physical and emotional body which, with support, can be accessed to stimulate healing and growth. I orient toward mind/body connection and awareness, relational attunement, and creative and mindfulness based practices. (For more information about somatic psychotherapy, see our frequently asked questions page!) If it is of interest and supportive for the process, nature-based ritual and exploration may also be incorporated, either in the counseling room or on one of Boulder's many incredible trails. I find a different kind of healing begins to happen when we are also held and supported by the earth.
I am passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing and interested in actively exploring big life transitions. This could be as obvious as pregnancy/ birth/ motherhood initiation or as subtle as needing to examine and shift anxiety patterns.
So if you are at a crossroads, reach out. If you are just interested in starting a process of counseling and need more info, reach out. I'm so very humbled by each individual's journey and mark on the world. I'm looking forward to honoring and supporting yours.
With fierce love,
