What is a Heartseed?

Dr. Noah K. Goldstein, DACM L.Ac.

You may be wondering, what is a Heartseed?

Heartseeds are the things planted in our hearts that sprout into meaningful and purposeful aspects of ourselves and what we offer to the world.

If you or a loved one are trying to access deeper purpose or are facing life changes or feeling lost or confused and needing support, please get in touch.

Some Heartseeds we plant intentionally in the form of a dream, goal, or intention. And yet many Heartseeds, sometimes the most significant ones are planted in our hearts, but not by us. They could be the result of a major event or experience (an accident, illness, or loss), a strange synchronicity, or a message from a teacher or a book. Sometimes we know immediately that something has been planted other times we're surprised when realize something is sprouting. Some of these seeds sprout immediately, while others slumber, for weeks, months, years, even decades before they crack through their shells in a creative surge.

While these sprouts are always a positive thing in the long term, sometimes they create some turmoil in our lives as they force us to grow along with them. This can be unsettling to say the least and can involve anxiety, confusion, fear, bewilderment, or even depression and grief as we let go of old pieces of ourselves and our lives to allow for new life-giving forces to emerge. In these situations, external support in the form of friends, community, and professionals can be vital.

Rachael and I have been through plenty of our own challenging experiences around the emergence of our Heartseeds and have been grateful to have the support that we needed. We are now in a place where we can offer support to others as they navigate their challenges.
